Experience

Russell Bishop brings 35 years of consulting and operating expertise to the implementation of strategic change and the role of leadership in improving organization performance.  He works with leadership teams to create and execute large system change, managing conflicts, reducing the “silo effect” and increasing measurable performance across the entire organization.

His clients include Fortune 500 companies in aerospace, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, information technology, telecommunications and energy.  He has extensive international experience working in England, France, Germany, Spain, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Hong Kong, as well as all across North and South America.

Mr. Bishop previously served as a senior member of a consulting firm, where he developed expertise in two key areas of negotiation and partnering:  how organizations form and manage strategic alliances and how they manage key supplier relationships.

Prior to his work in negotiation and partnering, he was an Associate Partner at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) focusing on the implementation of complex change strategies.  For 15 years prior to joining Andersen, he was CEO of a management consulting firm specializing in the implementation of strategic change initiatives, where he pioneered leading edge programs in executive and management productivity.

In 1978, he created Insight Seminars, a world class human relations training organization with operations across North and South America, Europe and Australia.

In addition to his consulting practice, he has lectured on productivity for the executive MBA programs at UCLA, University of Texas and Washington University in St. Louis.

He currently resides in Santa Barbara, California with his wife, Valerie, and is an avid golfer and amateur chef.

"The most useful parts of the program were the role-playing and real life examples of negotiation. This session expanded my thinking for how to deal with all the relationships in my life."
