Tip: Talk It Through With Someone Else First
Share your tough situations with others before acting
When your issues are gut-wrenching, you may be resistant to talking to anyone else. However talking through the tough stuff with someone first pays big dividends. A conversation provides support. You can feel less alone. This initial talk is practice. Getting the words out loud can take away fear. You gain a third party perspective. You see your own contribution. A pre-conversation helps you see it from the other person's perspective.

“I was delighted with the content and the way you moderated - the group have had their eyes opened to tools and thinking that can change outcomes and position them as thought leaders within our company. In my eyes, all of my objectives were achieved.” |
