Accordence Launches New Training to Help Corporations Turn High-Conflict Interactions into Positive Results and ROI

Negotiation Experts Respond to Growing Need for Tools to Manage Challenging Situations

Burlingame, Calif., (November 5, 2012) – Accordence is extending its successful formula for negotiation training to day-today workplace interactions with the worldwide launch of three offerings: Successful Conversations; Effective Feedback; and Transforming Mindsets. The programs were developed in response to demand from Accordence clients and a study of industry trends driven by workforce needs. Accordence found that a key component missing in many training programs today is awareness and choice regarding one’s inner perspective, mindset and attitude when learning a new skill or behavior.

The new Accordence courses can be used in addition to, or independently from, Accordence’s popular programs such as Just Negotiate® and The Power of 3: Persuasion. Accordence programs have demonstrated proven ROI in areas such as increased sales, minimization of price-cutting, and decreased costs; and qualitative outcomes such as effective management of difficult client requests and development of more emotionally aware, adaptable and flexible managers. These programs integrate a company-wide framework for communication to help eliminate silos.

“Accordence’s expanded curriculum will bring our ROI-enhancing mindset and skills approach to companies around the world,” said Heather Meeker Green, Managing Director, Accordence. “Over the last year, several clients spurred us on to produce new programs based on their workforces’ needs for more emotional awareness when: having conversations, specifically regarding difficult issues; shifting attitude and perspectives for more productive outcomes and engaged employees; and giving effective feedback, particularly around performance.”

“Accordence’s Successful Conversations program turned a lot of lights on for me – it provided information, knowledge and tools that I connected with and could easily imagine in action,” said Tracey Scanlon, general manager, The Hubert Company. “I have been putting the tools to good use and recommend the program to others.”
